Some available original paintings and giclée prints on canvas:

Hi there! My name is Colette Hannahan and I'm a painter from Minnesota, living in San Francisco.
Painting the landscapes and skyscapes of the places I travel to and the neighborhoods I live in reminds me that connecting with nature, color, and the people around me is sacred and that creativity is an antidote to fear. No biggie.
Over the past 21 years, I’ve lived in eight San Francisco neighborhoods. Now in The Outer Richmond, I’ve been painting the views from my walks around Sutro Park, Lands End, Golden Gate Park, The Sunset, and Ocean Beach. I've been trying to capture the way the light changes the colors of the fog and clouds moving through the neighborhood during the day and the wallop of awe I feel.
I layer paint across the open skies and slices of land or rooftops until they're intertwined --- like they're humming a tune around a bonfire. And whoever is looking at the painting is part of the landscape too --- hopefully feeling connected to it all.
I usually start my day with a walk, collecting beautiful things that wink at me — bits of nature that have washed up or fallen down — like shells, stones, sticks, bark, acorns, and mushrooms. I see them as glimmers of the divine and I’ve been using some if their colors, textures, and patterns in my new paintings.
To the right (or below if you're on a phone) are some available original paintings and giclée prints stretched on canvas. Please let me know if you'd like to see them at my studio, see more photos, or have them shipped to you.
Take a look here for upcoming shows, workshops, and retreats (Yelapa in November!). And here for archival prints on paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
